Head of Cyber Security

Our client, a prestigious regional financial services institution with over 75 years of history, is seeking a Head of Cyber Security to drive its security strategy and cloud transformation.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the Technology Leadership Team, reporting to the Group Head of Technology, you will define and implement the firm’s Cyber Security roadmap. This is a high-impact role that will shape the organisation’s security architecture, strengthen regulatory compliance, and enhance cyber resilience across its multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP). Responsibilities

Enterprise Cyber Security Strategy – Develop and execute the organisation’s InfoSec strategy and roadmap
Cloud Security Architecture – Design and implement secure cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP
Security Advisory – Act as a trusted security advisor, fostering a collaborative and inclusive approach to cyber risk
Risk & Compliance – Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (MAS, NIST, CIS, PCI/DSS, SOC 2)
Incident Response & Threat Management – Lead the response to security incidents, proactively mitigating cyber risks
Third-Party Security Oversight – Oversee vendor security risk assessments and ensure supplier compliance
Security Awareness & Training – Build a cyber-aware culture across all levels of the organisation
Champion Diversity & Equity – Foster an inclusive team culture where diverse perspectives drive innovation

What We’re Looking For

10-15 years of Cyber Security experience, including 5-7 years in security architecture
Demonstrable expertise in public cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience conducting Technology Risk Assessments and engaging with regulators (MAS, BNM, HKMA)
Knowledge of security frameworks, vendor risk management, and compliance standards
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, AWS/Azure/GCP are highly desirable
Excellent stakeholder management and a commitment to inclusive leadership
