Skyee is a rapidly growing Fintech company incorporated in 2016. Headquartered in Guangzhou, China, with offices in HK, US, UK, Singapore, and Japan, Skyee works with global bank partners to provide cross-border and domestic fund collection, FX, and payment services to clients from various industries.
To expand its business in Singapore, Skyee seeks an experienced compliance professional as the Head of Compliance & MLRO based in Singapore. In this role, you will oversee Skyee Singapore's compliance affairs, including license application, risk management, financial crime management, and external compliance across the business, ensuring systems and procedural excellence and effective business planning to assure legal and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with relevant parties to handle MPI licensing application and compliance functions for internal control practices;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and review and update departments' policies and procedures periodically;
• Design and conduct AML and other compliance-related training;
• Provide compliance advice and support core business initiatives;
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise on core business activities and assist in analyzing proposed business initiatives from a risk-based regulatory perspective;
• Liaise and collaborate with different departments to formulate, drive, and implement remediation of compliance issues;
• Influence policy and process within outsourced functions to ensure appropriate levels of service and oversight of compliance are provided;
• Provide advice and support on compliance-related issues at the group level;
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, local regulators, and government authorities;
• Work independently and under pressure.
Requirements:
• Proven track record in a similar role or held responsibility as a Compliance Head or Senior Compliance Officer within the payments/bank industry;
• Previous experience working on MPI license application and management is highly desirable;
• Holder of CAMS is an advantage;
• Strong understanding of legal/regulatory, compliance, and risk in payments, especially knowledge about the Payment Services Act of Singapore;
• Ability to articulate and communicate risk/compliance issues across all levels and hierarchies in the business, internal, and external;
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and solve problems;
• Strong written and spoken communication skills;
• Fluency in English is required, with the ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese;
