Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Commercial Partnerships and Marketing to lead our efforts in building strong business relationships and driving innovative marketing strategies. This key role will be responsible for spearheading the development of commercial partnerships and overseeing the institution’s marketing activities to enhance brand presence, increase market penetration, and drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial services sector and proven experience in strategic partnerships and marketing leadership.

Responsibilities

Commercial Partnerships

  1. Develop Strategic Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage key commercial partnerships with external organizations, including banks, fintech companies, corporate clients, and other stakeholders in the financial ecosystem.
  2. Expand Network: Build and nurture relationships with industry leaders, key stakeholders, and partners to increase collaboration opportunities and enhance the organization’s market position.
  3. Revenue Growth: Lead efforts to explore and implement partnership-driven revenue streams and business development initiatives, working closely with the sales and business development teams.
  4. Contract Negotiations: Oversee the development and negotiation of partnership contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
  5. Partnership Performance: Track and measure the success of partnerships, ensuring that they deliver value and contribute to the organization’s growth objectives.

Marketing Leadership

  1. Brand Strategy: Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy, aligning with the organization’s business goals and ensuring strong brand positioning in the financial services industry.
  2. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Drive the creation and implementation of targeted marketing campaigns to generate leads, attract new clients, and retain existing ones.
  3. Digital Marketing: Oversee the digital marketing strategy, including content creation, social media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM, and online advertising, to increase the institution's digital footprint and client engagement.
  4. Market Analysis & Positioning: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand industry trends and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  5. Client Communications: Oversee the creation of compelling marketing content (e.g., blogs, case studies, whitepapers, brochures) that engages clients and supports the institution’s value proposition.
  6. Event Management: Lead the planning and execution of key industry events, webinars, and other marketing initiatives to showcase the brand, build relationships, and drive thought leadership.
  7. Brand Monitoring & Crisis Management: Manage and protect the organization’s reputation in the market, handling crisis communications and ensuring the consistent delivery of brand messaging.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  1. Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of marketing and partnership professionals to achieve business objectives and deliver high-impact results.
  2. Collaboration with Senior Leadership: Work closely with the executive team, including sales, product, and operations, to align partnership and marketing strategies with broader organizational goals.
  3. Budget Management: Oversee the budget for commercial partnerships and marketing activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximizing return on investment (ROI).
  4. Performance Reporting: Regularly report on partnership performance and marketing KPIs to senior leadership, using data and insights to inform decision-making.

Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  2. Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in commercial partnerships, marketing, and business development in the financial services, fintech, or related industry.
  3. Proven Success: A track record of successfully leading strategic partnerships and marketing initiatives that have resulted in significant business growth and brand enhancement.
  4. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the financial services landscape, including banking, investment products, digital finance, and emerging trends in the sector.
  5. Partnership & Negotiation Skills: Exceptional ability to identify partnership opportunities, negotiate agreements, and build mutually beneficial relationships with external partners.
  6. Digital Marketing Expertise: Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, tools, and analytics to create impactful marketing campaigns that drive client acquisition and retention.
  7. Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  8. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and implement effective solutions that align with organizational goals and drive growth.
  9. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  10. Results-Oriented: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering measurable results and achieving business objectives.
