Key accountability (Main purpose of this job):

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Admissions, the Head of Admissions will oversee and manage the entire admissions process at CIS, ensuring that the school attracts, admits, and retains a diverse and talented student body. This individual will be responsible for setting recruitment strategies, policies, and initiatives to increase enrolment, overseeing the selection process, managing the admissions team, analysing trends and ensuring a high-quality experience for prospective students and families. The Head of Admissions will work closely with school leadership, faculty, and external stakeholders to create a seamless, efficient, and welcoming experience for all applicants. The role requires strategic leadership, data-driven decision-making, and close collaboration with all stakeholders.. This sales led role is critical to the success of CIS growth plan.

Responsibilities (Key areas of Responsibilities):

  • Admissions Strategy & Planning
    • In collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Admissions, develop and implement strategic plans for student recruitment and retention, ensuring alignment with the school's values and vision and leading the Singapore International School market.
    • Analyse market trends, key competitors and demographics to identify opportunities for recruitment, particularly in the international and local community.
    • Lead efforts to enhance the school’s online and offline presence in the admissions process.
  • Admissions Process Management
    • Oversee all stages of the admissions process, including inquiries, applications, tours and interviews, assessments, and final acceptance.
    • Ensure timely communication with prospective families, addressing inquiries, providing information on the school’s programs, and guiding them through the application process.
    • Manage the admissions team, providing training, support, and performance reviews.
    • Maintain accurate records and data on applicants, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Relationship Building & Communication
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including prospective families, agents, and educational consultants.
    • Represent the school at various events, fairs, and forums to promote the institution and its programs.
    • Coordinate school tours, open houses, and informational sessions for prospective families.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for new families and provide post-admissions support to ensure smooth transitions.
    • Leading the Corporate programme and referral process
    • Develop strong networks with internal stakeholders and also with other International Schools in SIngapore
  • Collaboration & Team Leadership
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional materials that highlight the school’s offerings and unique selling points.
    • Work with the academic team to ensure that admissions policies reflect the educational goals and needs of the school.
    • Support the school leadership in implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the admissions process.
  • Data Management & Reporting
    • Track and report on admissions data, including application numbers, conversion rates, and enrolment trends.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on enrolment status, competitor analysis and strategies, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Use data analytics to refine strategies and make informed decisions for future admissions cycles.
    • Develop and maintain a robust system for reporting admissions data to support forecasting, yield management, and operational efficiency.
  • Financial and Budget Management
    • Work with the internal stakeholders to support the process of establishing school fees, financial aid, and scholarship programs.
    • Ensure that the admissions process aligns with the school’s financial goals and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership role at an international or private school.
  • Strong understanding of international school systems and best practices in admissions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant software for managing admissions data (e.g., CRM systems, database management tools).
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience with international education or multicultural environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse, fast-changing, and dynamic environment.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential.
  • Excellent oral and written command in English and Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
