Job description
As the Head, SRC,you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role but not limited to the following, you will:
Drive the strategy for our Group Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) risk and compliance requirements, including regulatory influencing strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant sustainability legislation, understanding the impact our sustainability policies and practices has on the Group and its subsidiaries, anticipating future sustainability changes as well as identifying opportunities to improve sustainability practices to achieve Group’s short, medium and long-term targets. A critical function of this role is governance processes, specifically to escalate critical gaps and drive to resolution in a timely manner.
Oversee enterprise-wide risk management (ERM), conducting thorough risk assessments. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust operational processes as well as monitoring credit, compliance, and overall risks to ensure effectiveness.
To assume responsibility as the designated Group Data Protection Officer (DPO) and ensuring the Group complies with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) or equivalent mandates in countries which the Group operates.
Group ESG
Proactively manages the dynamic sustainability risk and compliance landscape and develop short, medium and long-term targets appropriate to the Group and its subsidiaries’ operations, aligned to the ERM.
Identifies, assesses, communicates and manages material sustainability and environmental risks (both internal and external) to protect the environment and the Group and its subsidiaries’ operations.
Leads the Sustainability regulatory centre of excellence, monitoring, influencing and communicating emerging regulations and building compliance systems and processes to ensure adherence.
Operates and deploys the following compliance/ assurance programs and associated controls:
Environmental compliance in operations
HSE compliance/ regulations
ESG reporting
Deploys and monitors preventive, detective and corrective environmental and sustainability controls across the Group to ensure effective functioning or require correction as needed to manage relevant risks to an acceptable level.
To assist CFO/ Finance with ESG-related inputs and assessments as required from time to time.
Group ERM
Identifying operational risks will be crucial in performing annual risk reviews and developing effective mitigation strategies.
Conduct regular reviews of enterprise-wide risk management and implement necessary corrective measures.
Deliver periodic/ quarterly presentations to Board outlining findings and proposing recommended actions.
Collaborate and partner with Head, Heath, Safety, and Environment (Head, HSE) to operate and continuously improve the HSE audit programs, establishes/ operates controls validation processes where needed and addressing incident and crisis management matters.
Develop, monitor and update the ERM and risk/ hit maps.
Maintaining and updating an insurance register to ensure no lapses in coverage and maintaining a record of claims.
Leads development of relevant crisis management and business continuity plans and supports as necessary when events occur.
Overseeing the team responsible for projects risks, leading periodic reporting; and managing outsourced 3rd party service providers as required.
Offer proactive guidance and support related to risk management.

Requirements:
A Bachelors degree (Preferred Master’s degree or above) in policy, risk management, finance/ engineering or related fields specific to HSE, Sustainability and/ or ESG.
At least 10 years of experience with environmental, sustainability, health and/ or safety, ESG or compliance/ ethics responsibilities for a global, multi-site Group.
Strong communication skills and ability to inform/ inspire audiences across various levels/ functions, influencing behaviours/ outcomes without direct authority - Strong stakeholder management, training and report writing skills. - Experience in presenting findings to committees, C-suites and board members. - Experience in preparation and presentation of training or regulatory updates materials.
Strong business acumen, influence, strategic planning, program and change management expertise
Able to right-size operational resources and processes to fit evolving growth, risk appetite and needs.
