Job description

As a Guest Services Officer, you’ll deliver exceptional service to guests through excellent service and answering their enquiries that exceeds their expectations. You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  1. Maintaining cashier float, ensure accurate daily report of money received and performs audit balances in accordance to accounting policies and procedures
  2. Maintaining intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures
  3. Assisting with hotel guest’s check in swiftly and efficiently
  4. Ensuring all billings are accurate
  5. Greeting guests in a friendly and helpful manner and attempts to learn and use guest’s name at every opportunity
  6. Carrying out hotel guest’s personal and travellers checks transactions and assisting with currency exchange
  7. Taking ownership and attending to guest’s request of using the service of safety box at all times
  8. Ensuring all policies and procedures are aligned to OH&S guidelines
  9. Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
  10. Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
  11. Logging security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
  12. When on night shift, checking night report, preparing the morning report and preparing all necessary forms for the following day’s guest arrivals
  13. Be aware of all special promotion procedures and registers and rooms all arrivals according to the hotel’s established procedures
  14. Upselling of Hotel product or services (sales incentives will be provided)

What we need from you

  1. At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a hotel front office environment
  2. Be quick witted and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  3. Possess a pleasant personality and have strong interpersonal skills
  4. Able to work rotating working shift hours - Morning, Afternoon and Night Shift (5 days work week, 9.5hours per shift including 45 minutes meal break)
