The Group HR Director is a strategic leader accountable for developing and executing HR strategies that align with the organisation's overarching business goals and objectives. This role involves establishing and implementing HR policies, best practices, and governance to cultivate a high-performance, people-oriented culture that prioritizes collaboration, excellence, and growth. The Group Director will oversee HR functions across countries, driving talent acquisition, retention, and development, while ensuring HR systems and processes effectively support the achievement of business goals. As a key partner to the executive leadership team, the Group HR Director will align HR strategies with the company's mission, enhance employee engagement and experience, and foster a positive work environment that contributes to long-term business success.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Collaboration Partner with the executive leadership team to align HR strategies with the organisation’s vision, providing counsel and HR advice to support business decisions.
People Strategy Development Develop and execute people strategies that drive the organisation's objectives, fostering a high-performance, people-oriented culture.
Talent Management & Workforce Development Lead talent acquisition, retention, training, development, and succession planning to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Culture Building & Organisational Design Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to build a culture of excellence and innovation, guiding organisational structure and management philosophy.
HR Operations & Oversight Oversee the Group and domestic HR functions, ensuring the efficient implementation of HR policies, systems, and processes aligned with business goals.
Employee Engagement & Relations Lead the development and execution of strategies to enhance employee engagement, resolve relations matters, and promote a positive work environment.
Performance Management Manage the performance management process, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and facilitate the improvement of performance systems and training.
HR Technology & Metrics Maintain and improve HR systems and tools, utilizing people data and metrics to drive informed decision-making and improve HR effectiveness.
Compliance & Best Practices Ensure compliance with local and international employment laws, reviewing and updating HR policies and practices to maintain regulatory alignment.
Budget Management & Reporting Develop and manage the HR budget, providing regular updates to the leadership team and preparing reports to track strategic goals and action plans.
Research & Organizational Development Conduct research on HR trends and organizational needs, analyzing HRIS and talent management data to support continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certifications preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in senior HR leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving HR strategies and managing HR functions across countries.
Strong expertise in talent management, organizational development, and HR systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Deep understanding of HR best practices, labour laws, and governance.
