Group Head of Engineering

Hawksman Technology is partnering with a pioneering DLT-powered financial market infrastructure organisation who is driving innovation in financial instrument origination, trading, and servicing by leveraging blockchain technologies across credit, funds, and structured products.

Role: Head of Engineering

Hawksman Technology is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering to join our clients team, reporting directly to the COO. This senior leadership role will be critical in steering the engineering strategy, driving innovation, and expanding our clients multi-asset tokenization platform. Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive engineering goals to ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable project delivery.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align on goals, support team leaders, and foster a culture of improvement and innovation.
• Ensure engineering practices follow industry standards, including ISO27001, to deliver secure and dependable solutions.
• Manage resources, vendor partnerships, and budgets to keep teams efficient and projects on schedule.
• Identify and address risks across projects, ensuring secure and stable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Board, shareholders, and customers to communicate the engineering strategy and align with business goals.
• Lead the use of new technologies to keep the platform competitive in the blockchain and fintech space.

Requirements:

• 10-15 years in technology within fintech, banking, or digital assets, ideally in a Head of Engineering, CTO, or VP Technology role.
• Proficient in key technologies including Java, Solidity, Python, blockchain (EVM preferred), Web3 frameworks, and wallet providers.
• Demonstrated experience with blockchain implementations in a production environment, including smart contract development and infrastructure management.
• Deep understanding of pre- and post-trade workflows across a range of financial products, such as loans, bonds, and structured products.
• Knowledgeable in system security, remediation techniques, and risk management frameworks to ensure platform integrity.
• Proven track record of building relationships with external vendors, senior Web2 and Web3 stakeholders, and driving team excitement around DLT and Web3 advancements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical and strategic initiatives across all levels of the organization.
