About this position

You'll be joining the Group International Legal department which oversees legal matters for the NetEase group (ex-China) and coordinates with the legal teams within each division of the group.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Legal Manager. The Legal Manager will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance, managing the company’s legal matters, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in corporate law, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle complex legal matters with minimal supervision. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage legal policies, procedures, and documents in coordination with other members of the Group International Legal Department.
- Research and analyze legal issues and advise in-house legal teams and management on the legal implications of their decisions.
- Provide a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide support in the management of litigation and dispute resolution matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and other legal advisors.
- Oversee regulatory and compliance matters.
- Develop and manage the legal department budget.
- Manage the end-to-end approval processes for all billings and invoices of external parties for the team.
- Provide regular reports on the status of legal issues being dealt with.
- Ensure that all relevant information regarding legal matters is accurate and kept up to date by updating the legal activity progress documents and providing regular reports on problem status to the relevant management teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law
- At least 2-4 years of relevant experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly and succinctly
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism
- Good commercial acumen
- Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and planning and organizing skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate
- Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
- Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and the understanding of business
- Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously
- Fluency in English; ability to confidently speak and read/write Mandarin Chinese is a significant plus
- Familiarity or interest in the interactive entertainment industry in general
Location: Preferably Singapore, but Hong Kong will also be considered.
