The Group Finance Director assumes a strategic role in the overall financial management of the company. He/she will have primary day-to-day responsibilities on planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance, and private and institutional financing.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the company’s financial planning.
Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.
Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
Main contact point and liaise with different government bodies in respect to government grants application, management, and disbursement process.
Integrate the finance systems of all the companies for one source of truth with full visibility by stakeholders.
Be a strong finance business partner to the stakeholders.
Liaise with the bank for effective use of cash flow.
Participate in potential merger & acquisition activities.
Develop a strong finance and accounting team on an ongoing basis.
Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting, including Finance dashboard.
Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable state, country, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Serve as a strong custodian and a valued business partner to the Board and Senior Leadership Team in the Group in driving business profitability, ensuring sound investment proposals are in place for approval prior to implementation.
Govern the Finance & IT policies in the group, drive compliance, and execute plans for stronger compliance.
Conduct business and investment risk analysis and assessment.
