Group Assistant Finance Manager (Consolidation)

A leading multinational shipping company is hiring for a Group Assistant Finance Manager to oversee financial consolidation for its global headquarters. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-growth environment with regional exposure.

Client Details

My client has a strong global presence and is one of the largest marine logistic carriers in the world. Owners of a large fleet of vessels, the company provides logistic support at major ports around the world. The Group Assistant Finance Manager position will play a critical role in supporting full spectrum finance activities, consolidating for all entities at global HQ level.

Description

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be:

1. Responsible for the consolidation of financial statements across five entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
2. Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process, including group-level reporting.
3. Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
4. Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and liaise with auditors on financial reporting matters.
5. Collaborate with finance teams across different business units to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.
6. Participate in process improvements and system enhancements to drive automation and operational efficiency.
7. Work closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations on financial performance.

Profile

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA/ACCA qualification preferred.
2. 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on group consolidation and financial reporting.
3. Experience in MNCs or large corporations handling multi-entity consolidation.
4. Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
5. Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP and regulatory compliance.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
7. Confident to engage with C-Suite leaders, present financial insights at board meetings.
