Job Purpose:

To support students and Instructors in Kumon Asia & Oceania (KAO) region by providing update and error-free learning materials for use in all Centres, accurately typeset Kumon materials across a range of subjects and levels, following the scheduled time frame. Additionally, to render support in creating event-related collaterals for the annual regional conference to support the learning and development of franchisees and staff with the Kumon organisation mission and objective.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To coordinate with branch offices to manage the typesetting and production of Kumon learning materials to ensure that they are developed and delivered on schedule with high quality
• Show proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional team members to create a variety of digital and print works, either single-handedly or with external partners
• To make sure that the work is completed accurately, examining it where necessary and transforming graphic software into ready-to-print digital files as per the established guidelines, before sending the final data for printing
• Manage print, electronic publishing and distribution of all internal regional collaterals for various countries
• To assist in regional conference preparations through creation of digital and print Collaterals
• Review and proof all internal publications, conference and event collaterals prior to print and distribution

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of pre-press printing
• Knowledge in Quark Xpress will be advantageous
• Knowledge in Web Design will be advantageous
• Ability to manage multiple projects within production deadlines
• Organised and detail oriented
• An efficient multitasker and prioritize work tasks well
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work independently and in a team

Credentials & Experience:

• Minimum diploma from a recognised institution in design or of similar experience, or an extensive background as a Graphic/Desktop Publishing Designer with strong portfolio of completed design projects
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Graphic and/or Desktop Publishing industry

Special Requirements:

• Willing to travel is an advantage but not necessary
