This is a 10-month contract position covering parental leave. No relocation assistance is offered for this position.Core Responsibilities- Integral member of the Asia Pacific government affairs team to drive ambitious public policy priorities to support commercial momentum, strengthen foundation and enhance corporate reputation.
- Lead critical policy workstreams for the APAC market group collaborating closely with global policy leads including sustainability and education/learning through play.
- Monitor policy developments, analyze risk and opportunities, engage business and functional partners and formulate engagement approaches to influence policy in priority markets.
- Actively develop advocacy submissions, and engage government partners to advocate the LEGO Group’s positions and preserve operating stability as well as brand reputation.
- Actively participate, collaborate and represent Asia Pacific contexts in relevant global policy working groups; support internal business partners across levels including senior management to drive public policy goals and preserve commercial momentum and the company’s license to operate.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Government and Public Affairs, APAC, you will have an opportunity to learn how to anticipate, counsel and shape the public policy agenda that will impact the LEGO Group’s commercial and operational growth as well as help enhance the company’s reputation.
Do you have what it takes?- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public affairs, public policy, political science or related field are preferred.
- At least 6-8 years in a government affairs, public policy role. Corporate experience preferred.
- Active experience in direct engagement with government, developing position papers to engage government partners, representing organizational priorities in industry fora.
- Understanding, interest and experience in APAC ESG policies, trade policy, education policy and environment policies.
- Passionate about public policy and government affairs.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive with strong project management skills.
- Skilled communicator in English, proficiency in an additional Asian language is a plus.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization with multiple partners across levels, including senior management.
- Strong collaborator, values driven with a high level of integrity.
