Team Introduction

The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cybersecurity and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations: Transparency & Trust, Best in Class Global Security, Business Catalyst & Enabler, and Empowered & Risk-Informed Decision Making.

This role is a part of the Security Tools Operations team, whose responsibilities include designing and implementing IT security solutions, assessing risks and vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate them. The role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and validating security architectures in areas like Endpoint security, Network security, Cloud security, Identity and Authentication, and Secure SDLC. The role will lead and implement security architectures, review policies and procedures, collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate solutions, communicate technical concepts to stakeholders, manage projects, and stay up-to-date with industry trends.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement technical controls in security domains like endpoint protection, networking, cloud security, identity and authorization, and security operations.
2. Work closely with TikTok XFN teams to identify gaps in security defense and implement architecture to mitigate them.
3. Design and implement security control validation architectures, including the research and design of validation frameworks and tools.
4. Research and implement AI best practices in the Security Tools Operation domain to improve efficiency and automation.
5. Engage in hands-on security operations and tools development when necessary, and coach junior engineers in the team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's (master's preferred) degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of IT security principles, infrastructure security, and cybersecurity, including common threats and vulnerabilities, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
3. Hands-on experience with technology used in IT, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, including networking, cloud security, encryption, identity and access management, and security operations on SIEM/SOAR.
4. Experience with security standards and guidelines, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS, and the ability to interpret and apply these standards to specific organizational needs.
5. Excellent team-working skills. Previous experience working across different time zones is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in software development, with knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, C, C++, or Go.
2. Industry certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+, are a plus.
3. Previous experience in product design and development of Compliance/Regulatory Automation systems is highly preferred.
