Job description

We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Global R&D Business Application Training & OCM Lead to develop and manage impactful Development application system & Organizational Change Management capabilities for both new systems and existing systems for R&D associates globally.

This role will work with an external service partner to deliver the required services in line with the overall R&D Learning and Development strategy. They will lead the development of content to meet the cross-functional requirements for the Development function and ensure that all application system training and OCM requirements are budgeted for, delivered, and performing to required service levels, budget targets, and timelines. The role will lead the creation and continuously train content across multiple modalities and formats using an array of creative approaches that engage our learners, increase expertise, and drive ownership of their learning plans. The ideal candidate will be creative, data-driven, and possess effective communication skills to convey the impact of the changes in a manner that is easily understood by business users regarding the change in their day-to-day role globally.

Technical Skills

  • Skilled in working with complex content and designing learning for multiple delivery modalities (traditional classroom, online classroom, and self-paced e-Learning modules), delivered through an outsourced delivery partner.
  • Familiarity with learning metrics and assessment tools.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Ability to develop learning solutions with measurable business impact.
  • Proficiency in diverse learning methods and their alignment with subject matter.
  • Bilingual ability to communicate in Japanese and English.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Organization Change Management skills in Pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Proven success in leading complex change management initiatives.
  • Skill in navigating ambiguity and managing resistance in evolving projects.

Key Deliverables

  • OCM strategies and plans.
  • System training strategies and plans.
  • Vendor oversight and deliverable management.
  • Department OCM projects and communications as assigned.
