About the role:

  • Lead the setup of payroll processes and activities in our new locations, including reviewing payroll inputs, coordinating with our payroll vendors, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Manage our payroll vendors, tracking performance against their SLA and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with our Finance team and other stakeholders to reconcile financial transactions, tracking and reporting of payroll costs across different business units and cost centers.
  • Oversee administration of equity programs including monthly approval processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Support the company-wide goal-setting process, develop payroll best practices, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and drive process improvement projects to streamline payroll operations and ensure data integrity.
  • Support all tax filing and external and internal audit requests.
  • Drive process improvement projects as required.
  • At least 5 years of end-to-end payroll process experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll software solutions, and local regulations and general payroll and HR related policies and processes.
  • Proactiveness to initiate process improvements and automation implementations in a startup setting.
  • Service mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to work with some level of ambiguity as we are still building many processes.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth payments/FinTech startup is a plus.
