DHL Express Global Head Office has an opening for Global Enterprise Architect in Global Business IT team. The role purpose is to:
Full Accountability on the realization of the IT architecture of the domain.
Responsible to Head of Global Enterprise Architecture for the domain architecture.
Define, develop, and communicate the IT domain architecture aligned to the IT target architecture that will reduce IT complexity through cost efficient solutions.
Manage the IT architecture realization to meet the business requirements aligned with the business and IT strategy of DHL Express.
Identify and evaluate new technologies that will innovate the IT landscape and simplify the IT support function to respond to new market demands and improve efficiencies.
Ensure that IT solutions are cost efficient and highly reliable, and they meet customer (internal and external) and expectations.
Contribute to the development of the DHL Express target IT architecture.
Identify redundancies in the DHL Express target architecture and propose to the Global Enterprise Architecture simplification strategies.
YOUR TASKS
Member of the DHL Express Global Enterprise Architecture Group responsible for the IT Architecture of the domain.
Build working relationships with Business IT domain head, Solution Architects, and IT representatives to gain sufficient understanding of the needs to allow an implementable definition and optimization of a domain IT architecture.
Build working relationships with BIT Domain Head, Solution Architects, and IT representatives to gain sufficient understanding of the needs to allow definition and optimization of an IT Architecture of the Domain.
Build working relationship with subject matter experts (business and IT) to scope, specify and develop an appropriate IT Domain Architecture.
Document and maintain the domain target architecture aligned to the DHL Express target architecture and DHL Express IT standards and principles.
Prepare and propose the current IT domain architecture migration to the DHL Express target architecture.
Oversee the realization of the domain IT architecture across programs and projects.
Guidance to peers, juniors, and partners in the context of the architecture.
Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
Mentor and provide direction to junior architects and IT peers on the benefits of a well-defined domain target architecture and solution architectures for the projects and programs.
For specific Programs and Projects:
Provide impact analysis on potential changes to the architecture e.g. because of changes in the business requirement or IT solution.
Review project documentation to ensure compliance of projects with the Express Architecture Standards, including performance, deployment architecture, networks, and tools.
Track, provide visibility and periodically review exceptions to the Target Architecture.
Contribute to the migration strategy for the business change initiative, including the identification and definition of key IS migration steps.
Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
At least 10 years of multi-disciplined IT experience including at least 5 years of IT architecture leadership in large, sophisticated organization with high volume/high transaction environment in the specified business domains.
Experience in design, specification and configuration of solutions, systems, interfaces, including data and performance analysis. Experience of delivering IT solutions across large multi-national organizations.
Global experience and teaming that has delivered world-class results.

Educational Qualifications: Advanced University Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. (Essential).
Architecture certifications from information systems professional body preferred.
Industry qualification from engineering or information systems professional body preferred.
