Reporting to the Co-Founder/s and C-Suite, the General Manager (GM) is directly responsible for ensuring both 2-TIMES’ private client eCommerce and branded content platforms consistently achieve and exceed sales/monetisation targets and profitability goals, through the effective use of short and long-term planning, and the implementation of multi-department expense controls.
A key member of our executive leadership team, he/she/they will primarily focus on developing business cases for new strategic initiatives and/or digital creative experiences that inspire media momentum and deliver accelerated revenue growth against key metrics, whilst continually focusing on private client satisfaction, developing employees, and maintaining the integrity/image of the wider 2-TIMES group across key regions, markets and luxury industry segments.
The ideal candidate is an operational team leader with a recognised business profile; a professional who is at ease navigating through critical junctures of a scaling start-up, and providing expertise on current/future luxury retail industry best practices, and proposing transformative solutions across eCommerce (retail), technology, marketing, brand, merchandising, PR & communications, logistics, and capital-raising initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating the daily operations of the multi-brand luxury retail and branded content businesses, and executing on the Co-Founder/s & CEO’s vision for 2-TIMES.
- Overseeing key operational functions including forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships, compliance, and private/institutional financing.
- Ensuring smooth and effective levels of transparency and communication upstream, downstream, laterally, and across departments; lead meetings, set agendas as needed, and drive processes and communication channels.
- Establishing the organisational hierarchy, delegating special projects/activities to senior management, and coaching/informing HQ staff regarding group policies, contractual commitments, expenditures and personnel matters.
- Collaborating with HR on implementing hiring/training activities and plans for all employees, with specific attention towards the development & retention of a highly flexible global team.
- Representing 2-TIMES as a spokesperson in online/print media, and acting as an ambassador for the group at selected industry events, corporate seminars, and with key board-level stakeholders.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from a top-tier university in business admin, marketing, economics, etc.
- 10-15+ years of business management experience within a luxury retailer or International designer fashion brand; with at least 5 years of executive-level leadership comprising general business operations and/or global consulting. Exposure with a recognised luxury conglomerate is highly regarded.
- Aligned sense of direction regarding 2-TIMES’ POV, with proven credibility of networks spanning fashion, arts & music industries.
- Web, App and Mac-savviness, with knowledge of Google/Microsoft suites mandatory. Experience working with Salesforce ERP and Sanity CMS viewed favorably.
- Knowledge/proficiency using project management & video conferencing software including Slack, Notion, Whereby, Teams, etc.
- Fluency in English is critical, with professional-level language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese or French an asset.
- Significant International travel is required (50%).
Salary range: SG $12k–$15k p/m, plus bonuses and allowances
