General Manager, Finance & Accounting

Basic Roles & Responsibilities

• This above role will work closely with the Head of International Finance to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with regional and corporate objectives.
• Provide financial insights, leveraging data analysis to support international business performance and growth.
• Support the Head of International Finance in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Oversee international financial operations, accounting, cashflow management and reporting.
• Monitor financial KPIs and provide necessary updates to the Head of International Finance.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with the relevant countries’ accounting regulations, tax requirements and corporate policies.
• Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with JGAAP, IFRS and relevant tax laws.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Act as the primary liaison between Head of International Finance and Japanese stakeholders.
• Support interpretation and translation between Japanese and English for the Head of International Finance and Japanese Headquarters to ensure clear communication.
• Promote best financial practices and sharing within the organization.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics or equivalent
• At least 10 to 12 years’ relevant work experience
• Extensive experience with ERP systems, particularly with advanced modules in SAP and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Possess native or business level proficiency in Japanese and English language (spoken & written)
• Possess ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
