Job description

The General Manager will oversee the overall business operations, including production, supply chain, sales, financial planning, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, extensive experience in food manufacturing, and a results-driven mindset to scale and improve company performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Strategic Planning

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration across departments.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain a strong company culture focused on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

2. Operations & Production Management

  • Oversee day-to-day production, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality control.
  • Implement process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations and reduce waste.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and production facilities.

3. Financial & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships, new product launches, and expansion into new markets.
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.

4. Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Manage procurement, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure seamless distribution and supply chain operations to meet customer demand.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align production with market demand.

5. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, SFA guidelines).
  • Maintain quality assurance standards and implement best practices in food manufacturing.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure product consistency and safety.

6. Team Development & Performance Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor key personnel to enhance team productivity.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics for departments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Key Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record in General Management, Operations, or Business Leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and efficiency.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent in Business Administration, Food Science, or Operations Management.
  • Experience in scaling manufacturing operations and implementing automation.
  • Strong network in the retail, F&B, and distribution sectors.
