General Manager

Job Description:

The General Manager of The Wine Distribution Co. ("TWDC") will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall management of the day-to-day operations of TWDC. A combination of strong business acumen, emphatic leadership skills, related industry expertise, and experience is essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Core Management team to develop and execute TWDC's strategic plans in alignment with its objectives and targets.
2. Identify new market opportunities, trends, and emerging consumer preferences to drive business development and growth.
3. Lead and mentor department heads and staff, promoting professional development.
4. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality.
5. Closely monitor financial performance, analyzing variances and taking proactive corrective actions when required.
6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement prudent financial practices.
7. Lead business development, sales, and marketing initiatives to effectively promote TWDC's products and services.
8. Foster a collaborative, efficient, and positive work environment for all.
9. Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, licensing requirements, and legal standards.
10. Stay updated on any changes in the law and regulations that might impact the wine distribution and wholesale business.
11. Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
12. Build and maintain positive working relationships with all internal stakeholders, as well as with clients, customers, suppliers, vendors, investors, and industry associations.
13. Be exposed to skill-development plans and ad-hoc tasks beneficial for your development.

Requirements:

1. Degree/Master from a recognized institution.
2. At least 5-7 years of related experience is required.
3. Great communication skills with strong, positive interpersonal skills.
4. A team player with a strong sense of job responsibility and a keen eye for details.
