General Manager

As General Manager, you have overall responsibility for the operations and performance of the venue. You have full P&L and leadership authority, within annual budgets set in consultation with the Owner.

You are to drive a strong and sustainable team culture and strategic direction, constantly challenging the status quo and looking for opportunities for improvement. This is done by providing a broad range of Operational, Human Resources, Marketing, and Compliance related services; ensuring activities support business objectives and are in line with the objectives, strategies and tactics, the people, and the culture.

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Work in conjunction with the owners to actively manage key property issues, including capital projects; customer service; refurbishment.
• Assist the development of meaningful, achievable budgets and other short-term and long-term strategic goals.
• Provide effective leadership to the leadership team and team members to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
• Drive and maintain a strong and sustainable team culture that is in keeping with the brand and guest experience through visible leadership and hands on interaction with colleagues and guests
• Drive continual improvement.
• Plan, direct and coordinate the service delivery of all departments to meet and exceed guest expectations and service standards.
• Ensure that costs are controlled throughout the operational departments and the results are analyzed regularly to highlight problem areas and take appropriate action.
• Manage and develop the leadership team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the company.
• Seek and respond to guest feedback to achieve positive outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the leadership team.
