General Commercial Lawyer – Hedge Fund

We are instructed on a fantastic opportunity for a general commercial / IT lawyer to join a top-tier global hedge fund. Due to exceptional business growth, our client is expanding their APAC legal team based in Singapore.

The role will focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of general commercial contracts including: data/research agreements, hardware/software, NDAs, HR agreements, telecom, and colocation. This hire will identify and evaluate legal risk associated with commercial contracts and develop strategies to mitigate those risks, as well as oversee and manage external counsel.

Essential Requirements

1. 5-10 years PQE, coming from a Magic Circle / US law firm or top-tier international financial institution
2. Experience drafting and reviewing general commercial contracts
3. Financial Services experience a strong preference
4. Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
5. Able to read and write in Mandarin
