Gallery Assistant w/ Comms! | 5 DAYS WW

The Gallery Sales Associates is a key member of the sales team responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling artwork, and enhancing the overall gallery experience for visitors. This role involves assisting with client inquiries, maintaining the gallery’s environment, and supporting the gallery’s goal by driving sales and fostering long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct art and design sales
• Utilise online social media and offline networks and platforms to connect with potential customers and build a art enthusiasts base.
• Manage day-to-day gallery operations including housekeeping.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of our current exhibitions in order to best articulate relevant artistic concepts to visitors.
• Client development: develop client lists by notifying potential clients of particular works and exhibitions, according to their interests
• Ensure high levels of customer experience by always providing highly personalised and excellent customer services.
• Assist with gallery exhibitions, openings and events
• Handle customer inquiries and supportcustomer correspondence
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Support inventory management by tracking stock levels.
• Any duties as assigned by the Manager and General Manager

Qualifications and requirements :

• Previous experience in generating sales of art, or alternative assets
• Good to have: Existing networks or platforms with interest to art collections
• Diploma in Fine Art and/or equivalent in Art History, Business, Studio Art, Arts Administration, Sales & Marketing
• Passion for modern, contemporary art and design
• Creative mindset with an ability to think outside of the box to drive demand.
• Good photography and eye for details
• Customer service-oriented and a friendly and positive demeanour
• Good written and verbal communication skills to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
• Hardworking, whilst also being able to work independently and efficiently.
