Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Operations and Settlement:

  • Capture, confirm, and settle trades, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Confirm transactions with brokers and custodians ahead of market deadlines.
  • Validate and review daily trade activities, ensuring compliance with operational controls.
  • Research and resolve exceptions, reconciliations, incorrect transactions, and any related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address and resolve any trade-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients as necessary, responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) when needed.

Accounting and Financial Operations:

  • Assist in day-to-day operational accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Ensure proper processing and posting of invoices into the system.
  • Support monthly reconciliations and month-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accuracy in cost allocations, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including statutory and audit-related reports.

Compliance, Audit, and Risk Management:

  • Monitor compliance with various agreements, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Assist in identifying and managing risk and compliance issues or breaches.
  • Support the documentation and updating of corporate policies, trade operating procedures, and SLAs.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assist in the setup of required changes within the Investment Monitoring Platform.

Fund Administration Support:

  • Assist in monitoring service provider performance and platform reliability, particularly focusing on fund administration processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily, weekly, and monthly trading activities.
  • Support financial performance/trend analysis and report generation for clients, shareholders, and management.

Data Administration and Documentation:

  • Manage general data administration tasks and the safekeeping of important documents related to trading and accounting activities.
  • Ensure that static data and accounting ledgers are correct and accurate within the system.

Project Support:

  • Assist in coordinating and managing special projects or requests as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or a relevant field (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Good understanding of SFRS (Singapore Financial Reporting Standards) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Basic knowledge of financial products, including Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas). Knowledge of VBA and SQL is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to multi-task effectively.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with fund administration or operational accounting roles is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with fund accounting systems and investment monitoring platforms.

Reporting Line:

This role reports directly to the COO.
