Frontend Developer (Progression to Product Manager)

We are seeking a Frontend Developer with a diploma or higher qualification to join our team. This role offers a unique progression path that begins with technical frontend development and advances through customer experience management, ultimately leading to a Product Manager role.

You will be involved in building responsive, cloud-integrated web applications while gaining customer engagement and product strategy skills. As part of this role, there will also be opportunities to travel as you work closely with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities (Frontend Developer):

• Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and design tools like Figma.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend applications with cloud services.
• Ensure web applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and cross-device compatibility.
• Work with the Product Owner to align frontend designs with user needs and business goals.
• Utilize Figma to design, prototype, and iterate on user interfaces and experiences.
• Stay updated with trends in frontend development and cloud computing to continuously improve features.

Progression Pathway:

• Customer Experience Officer:

1. Engage with customers to gather feedback and assist in resolving issues.
2. Collaborate with the development team to integrate user feedback into product improvements.
3. Develop customer relations skills and ensure user needs are met.
4. Assist in improving user experience through customer insights.

• Product Manager:

1. Lead product development by defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
2. Manage cross-functional teams to deliver features that enhance customer satisfaction and align with business objectives.
3. Ensure the product evolves based on customer feedback and market trends.
4. Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, iterating based on performance metrics.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field (e.g., IT, computer science).
• Basic knowledge and experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
• Experience using Figma for UI/UX design and prototyping.
• Strong desire to grow technical skills in frontend development.
• Excellent communication skills with an interest in customer engagement and product management.
• Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to meet clients and stakeholders as part of the role.
