Front Risk Management- Projects and Controls Monitoring (9 mth contract)

We are seeking for our client, a top tier European Private Bank, a detail-oriented and proactive 1LOD risk personnel to support our controls monitoring and global harmonisation projects (alignment of global and Asia controls). In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sampling methodologies, identify trends, and improve data accuracy. You will also be responsible for generating and reviewing data samples on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, and business controls.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand processes and source systems where raw data could be extracted from.
2. Generate, review, and document monthly data samples for controls testing across various business processes.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand control requirements and ensure data sampling meets those specifications.
4. Write, optimize, and maintain scripts for data analysis using programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
5. Create and maintain detailed documentation for sampling processes, methodologies, and results.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in the data sampling/control monitoring process.
7. Work closely with analytics, compliance, and operations teams to address identified issues or opportunities for improvement.
8. Provide insights and recommendations to improve data accuracy, control effectiveness, and monitoring strategies.
9. Support the development of automated tools or dashboards to streamline sampling and reporting processes.
10. Participate in UAT and perform controls when necessary.
11. Handle any identified control deficiencies with front office/stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Prior experience in data analysis, reporting, and controls monitoring.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.).
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
6. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: $4000-6000 (depending on the experience of the candidate)
