Job Title: Front of House - Hotel Gym Attendant
Location: UFIT City Hall (Fairmont Hotel)
Reports to: City Hall Hub Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House Attendant to join our team at the Fairmont hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness center. You will be the face of our gym, responsible for creating a welcoming environment, assisting guests with their fitness needs, and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the gym area. Your goal is to ensure every guest has an exceptional and enjoyable fitness experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Services
- Greet and welcome guests to the fitness center, ensuring they feel valued and informed about available services.
- Assist guests with check-ins, gym access, and orientation of gym equipment.
- Provide information on personal training sessions, group classes, and other fitness offerings.
- Handle guest inquiries, bookings, and complaints professionally, escalating issues to the Fitness Center Manager when necessary.
- Facility Management
- Ensure the gym area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Regularly inspect gym equipment to ensure it is in good working order and promptly report any maintenance issues.
- Replenish supplies such as towels and drinking water in the gym area.
- Perform routine cleaning of gym equipment, mirrors, and workout spaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Enforce gym rules and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe environment for all users.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate records of guest attendance and bookings.
- Manage and process payments for additional services like personal training or fitness merchandise.
- Assist in preparing monthly usage reports and inventory checks.
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work closely with personal trainers, spa staff, and hotel management to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
- Support the organization of fitness events, challenges, and promotions within the hotel.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Minimum secondary school education. Certification in hospitality or fitness-related fields is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or fitness environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of gym equipment and fitness protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic booking systems.

Working Hours
Rotational shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
