Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct market research & store visits to stay abreast with both consumer and competitor's behaviours.
  2. Review product offerings and feedback analysis from the end customer for product improvement.
  3. Ability to analyze market research and implement actions for improvement.
  4. Understand brand competency, product efficiency, and customer needs.
  5. Design & conceptualize seasonal collections and product designs that fit ergonomics and are user-friendly.
  6. Translate and present inspiration & ideas via mood boards & hand-drawn/CAD sketches professionally.
  7. Work closely & liaise with the Technical Development and Sourcing team on merchandise, material & fitting development to ensure product vision is cost viable and mass producible with our factories.
  8. Conduct sample checks during Buying conference stages to ensure consistency in design & development delivery.
  9. Produce and meet deadlines for specific numbers of products planned by Design Manager/MP Matric.
  10. Ability to analyze sales reports & feedback to understand brand & customer needs.
  11. Display market/consumer insights to respond to business objectives with consumer-centric, creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions.
  12. Produce clear specifications accurately for Prototypes Specification Sheet, ensuring a smooth process for sample making.
  13. Improve the merchandise review process for product offer accuracy.
  14. Sourcing trendy materials and ideas to keep the brand and product refreshed and on brand.
  15. Highly organized in process planning, frameworks, and project management (time to market).
  16. Keen interest and strong eye for fashion industry/retail trends to support day-to-day tasks.
  17. Conduct team bonding sessions/activities, i.e., Christmas Decorations, After Launch Dinner, etc.
  18. Facilitate experience sharing sessions and knowledge sharing regarding improvements in life, career, etc.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Fashion Design/Fashion Marketing/Footwear Design with 5 years of working experience in Fashion & Footwear Design.
  2. Proficient in Adobe Suite (Advanced) and in CAD or Rhino (Intermediate).
  3. Basic Microsoft Office, data analysis skills, and public speaking.
  4. Good understanding of mind mapping and storytelling.
  5. Strong knowledge of products and materials for Ladies' Footwear.
  6. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
