Fleet Safety & Compliance Specialist

In this critical role, you will conduct DOOS Office Audits and Desktop Reviews of technical managers overseeing clients' fleets. Responsibilities include planning and executing audits and reviews annually to ensure compliance with the Safety Stewardship Framework. The position involves deploying Safety Specialists to verify onboard safety practices, organizing regular feedback sessions, and assisting in onboarding new designated owner operators (DOOs). Additionally, you will provide training and development, ensuring consistent implementation of safety practices. Key duties encompass reviewing safety reports, analyzing data, and developing digital tools to enhance safety management systems. By implementing HSEQ standards, you will support improvements in safety, environmental performance, and crew wellbeing across chartered portfolios.

This role is well-suited for individuals with experience as Technical Superintendent, Marine Superintendents, HSEQ Superintendents or other relevant positions, who possess a strong understanding of safety management and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements:

• Ex Master Mariner, or Chief Engineer with relevant shore experience.
• Strong understanding of maritime safety management and regulatory compliance for either bulk carriers or tanker vessels.
• Professional certifications such as ISM Lead Auditor or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
