Job Summary:
• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to oversee the Bank’s Asset and Liability management (ALM) reporting application.
• In this role, candidate will be responsible for leading a team of skilled SAS professionals in developing and implementing technology solutions to facilitate the Daily/ Weekly and Monthly Regulatory reporting for Balance Sheet Risk Management Business Users.
• Candidate is required to work very closely with Cross-functional teams who provide us the balance sheet data to facilitate the regulatory reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of technology SAS professionals focused on ALM initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project and BAU goals, objectives, and deliverables as per the ALM roadmap.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of ALM projects and BAU quarterly change requests.
• Conduct regular assessments of the application and recommend improvements.
• Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development and project management methodologies.
• Manage team performance through effective goal setting, coaching and performance reviews.
• Facilitate communication between GETO and Business stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on project scope and cascade it back to technical delivery team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to identify opportunities to improve the application.
• Prepare and present reports on project status and present to senior management.
• Oversee the BAU Quarterly CR release and shoulder the lead role for L3-Production Service recovery.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
• 15+ years of experience in Technology development, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in SAS 9.4/ VIYA framework.
• Experience with data analytics, machine learning or AI applications and familiarity with cloud technologies will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivery results.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with external partners and vendors.
Business Knowledge:
• Banking Background, specifically in Risk Management and/or Treasury.
• Understanding of Treasury and Retail products.
• Understanding of the business areas of Interest Rate Risk Management and Liquidity Risk Management (Balance sheet Risk management).
Technical Skills:
• Candidate must be able to apply good working knowledge of project procedures, work flows, and milestones in order to complete projects assigned.
• Base SAS and Advanced SAS certification + knowledge and working experience with SAS VIYA (this would be an added advantage).
