Job description

Position Title: Financial Specialist

Department: Service Department

Reporting to: Singapore Expert Service Manager

Location: Singapore


Job Responsibilities

  1. Financial Service Execution
    • Independently manage clients’ full-cycle accounting, including but not limited to general ledger, AP/AR management, fixed asset depreciation calculation, and bank reconciliation.
    • Accurately execute Singapore GST (Goods and Services Tax) returns, CIT (Corporate Income Tax) calculations, and filings to ensure compliance with IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore) requirements.
    • Assist clients with statutory compliance tasks via Corppass, such as ACRA (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority) annual reviews and BizFile+ document submissions.
    • Prepare monthly/annual financial statements compliant with SFRS (Singapore Financial Reporting Standards) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), including supporting notes and disclosures.
    • Coordinate annual audits, liaise with auditors to provide required documents (e.g., trial balances, contract records), and follow up on audit adjustments.
  2. System and Process Optimization
    • Lead client financial data migration or system entry, configure chart of accounts and automation rules, manage client system data, resolve compatibility issues, and ensure data accuracy.
    • Participate in financial module testing and provide feedback to product teams for localization improvements.
  3. Client Consultation and Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Address client inquiries on tax and compliance matters (e.g., withholding tax, transfer pricing, employee benefits taxation) and provide risk mitigation advice.
    • Collaborate with other expert teams to resolve client issues.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related fields.
  • LCCI certification in bookkeeping or advanced accounting skills preferred. ACCA/CPA qualification or familiarity with IFRS/GAAP is a strong advantage.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in Singapore financial roles or accounting firms, with thorough knowledge of local corporate tax and finance processes.
  • Experience serving cross-industry clients or in the SaaS industry is preferred.

Core Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and basic ERP system operations.
  • In-depth understanding of Singapore tax regimes (GST, CIT) and ability to independently handle tax filings and compliance checks.

Language:

Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese; able to draft bilingual financial documents and communicate professionally with clients.
