Job description

Our client isa leading ship leasing company, committed to delivering innovative financing solutions within the maritime industry. As they continue to expand their operations and streamline financial processes, they are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller to join the team and play a key role in shaping the future of their finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the finance and accounting functions of the business.
Coordinate with the Cyprus-based accounting team for back-office financial support and ensure a smooth transition of these functions to Singapore.
Establish and implement accounting systems, processes, and controls within the business.
Lead the recruitment and management of the finance team in Singapore.
Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure alignment of financial strategies with overall business goals.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Financial Controller with a strong background in financial management and accounting.
Experience dealing with loan or finance accounting is highly desirable.
Prior experience in establishing accounting systems and processes, with a track record of building finance functions from the ground up.
Knowledge of the shipping sector is beneficial but not required.
Singaporean national preferred.
Based in Singapore with minimal travel requirements (1-2 trips per year to Cyprus).
