Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of the hotel annual budget with GM and department heads.
  2. Monitoring hotel revenues and expenses, and ensuring the accuracy of forecasting.
  3. Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; ensuring all financial reports are accurate and timely; analyzing financial data; providing insights to the management; and overseeing a team of finance executives in all accounting functions.
  4. Monitoring the property's cash flow to ensure there are sufficient funds available for ongoing operational expenses.
  5. Developing and maintaining a system of internal controls.
  6. Coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure the hotel complies with all internal and legislative requirements and regulations; ensuring all contracts signed are in accordance with group and legislative requirements.
  7. Checking the monthly payroll by the outsourced agency and ensuring timely and accurate payment for all employees; regularly reviewing the hotel's financial performance and strategizing ways to enhance revenues and improve overall profitability.

Last but not least, you will lead, manage, and mentor the finance team; conduct regular performance reviews, training, and development initiatives; manage relationships with vendors; ensuring that all items purchased are received and bills are paid timely. You will evaluate and address financial risks associated with the hotel operation; regularly update the owners and hotel’s management team and other stakeholders about the financial status of the hotel; and continuously review processes for improvement while staying updated with the latest best practices in hotel finance management.

Requirements:

You possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; have proven experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry; and have strong knowledge of hotel accounting software (Sun Accounting System) and other related systems (Operate Cloud, POS). You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and at least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
