Financial Controller

We are seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to lead our finance department and drive our financial success. Ideal candidates are with relevant experience in hospitality industry with a proven track record of leadership, a strong sense of accountability and excellent organisation skills.

As a Financial Controller, we rely on you to

• Oversee all financial activities of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with group policies, relevant regulations and accounting standards.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the hotel's management team, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and profit enhancement.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets, track financial performance, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Manage the hotel's cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure processes effectively.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for senior management and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry and at least 3 years of experience in external audit.
• Proven track record of financial leadership, delivering strategic insights, and driving financial performance.
• In-depth knowledge of financial management systems, reporting tools, and industry-specific software (e.g., hotel property management systems).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modelling, and financial analysis techniques.
