Financial Controller

Job Description

1. Lead and manage the accounting team in overseeing the finance and accounting functions.
2. Prepare month-end financial reports in compliance with corporate requirements.
3. Review monthly entity level management reports prepared by the team to ensure accurate and timely reports.
4. Prepare Group consolidated financial reports by performing consolidation entries, elimination, and adjustments.
5. Provide periodical financial reporting packages to management and stakeholders and attend to ad-hoc queries/requests.
6. Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with auditors to complete the annual audit.
7. Administer and manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including working with management to finalize budget planning and performing periodic variance analysis.
8. Review tax computation and liaise with tax agent to manage the filing process.
9. Review, implement and improve financial workflow/processes to strengthen internal control and compliance and enhance operational efficiencies.
10. Liaise with bankers on treasury matters, analyze cash flows, and monitor funding requirements.
11. Review key reconciliation schedules and ensure variance is within corporate requirements.
12. Provide in-depth analysis on the financial figures to support business decisions.

Requirements

1. Minimum Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accountancy with 5 years of work experience in an audit or accounting management position.
2. Ability to handle a high volume of transactions.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
4. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
5. Able to work within tight timelines.
6. A keen eye for details and a desire to probe further into data.
