DESIGNATION: Financial Analyst (Finance Partner/Accountant for Commercial Group)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Partnering

• To serve as a Finance Business partner to Commercial Sales and Commercial Operations, providing support on revenue recognition and associated financial related matters
• Collaborate with Commercial Group to develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial targets align with business goals
• Support contract negotiation by reviewing financial aspects of Commercial Sales contracts (cross-platform advertising and campaigns)
• As required, to provide financial related advice and support financial modelling on new business initiatives, investment evaluations and project presentations

Accounting

• Responsible for month end closing activities which includes full set accounts and review of P&L for the Commercial Group
• Oversee compliance with accounting standards (IFRS 15) and corporate financial policies
• Responsible for driving annual cost centre budgeting process together with the Business Unit head and Finance Controller

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct financial analysis and review cost centre expenses for the Commercial Group
• Prepare commercial performance reports and dashboards for senior management, providing key insights and growth recommendations
• Support CFO/Finance Director in change management related to corporate policies and procedures/or accounting standards and associated system enhancements requirements
• Leverage data analytics tools such as Power BI for financial reporting and trend analysis
• Prepare regular commercial performance reports and dashboards for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for growth

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with minimum 6 years' relevant experience
• Experience in finance partnering and business advisory, particularly in commercial sales or solution selling, is preferred
• Proven ability to establish good working relationships with key decision makers and the Commercial Group at all levels
• Demonstrated proficiency with P&L and balance sheet, backed with a strong familiarity of Accounting Standard IFRS 15
• Good working knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
• Possess excellent Microsoft Excel modelling skills, and proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Power BI will be an added advantage
• Excellent time management, communication, presentation & organizational skills
• Mature personality and able to work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment
• Able to operate independently, as well as a good team player
• Possess good analytical and strong writing skills
