For our Process Automation Software, we are looking for a SISW Financial Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
- Finance business analyst supporting the PA SW sales and service organization with focus on SG, MY, AU, JP, KR and IN
- Responsible for all financial aspects of the business (strategic and operational):
- Perform detailed, timely and accurate financial analysis and orchestrate the planning, reporting and controlling including the following:
- Reporting on operating results and financial statement positions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Ensure and support an orderly process for monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities.
- Cost center reporting and analysis.
- Preparation and coordination of Planning, BDG and FC with feedback for management review.
- Interface to DI PA RC's regarding planning, BDG, FC and reporting requirements.
- Commercial Project Management of service delivery projects.
- Engage in the plan margin calculation, bidding documents preparation, contracts negotiation and approval from PATAC, LoA, etc.
- Ensure accurate and transparent reporting of the project financials and deliver target service margins.
- Service billing and service revenue recognition.
- Monthly Status Update meetings with project manager.
- Ensure Software and Service deals are well structured with regards to profitability, legal and accounting requirements.
- Engage in the entire order process from quotation to payment collection.
- Work closely with sales and service teams to ensure adequate support business model structuring and consideration.
- Work collaboratively with other functions such as legal and revenue recognition.
- Ensure compliant business operations.
- Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.
- Serve as a close advisor and business partner for local counterparts in all questions related to financial performance and sustainable, profitable growth of the software business.
- Ensure close alignment with relevant stakeholders (Siemens RCs, SISW functions) and provide business transparency to management.
- Contribute to special projects in DI PA / SISW environment (e.g. internal digitalization efforts) and driving optimization in the PA Finance area for software business.

- Degree in business administration or finance (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent experience.
- +5 years of relevant business experience.
- Experienced in project controlling (ideally CPM certified).
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial statements analysis and interpretation.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills in English.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, along with ability to quickly learn and leverage several Business Intelligence tools (e.g. SAP/BW, Power BI, Essbase, Hyperion Planning, SAP Business Objects, Salesforce, DynaSight) to answer business questions.
What else do I need to know?
- First experience in a software business is a plus.
- Experience in current developments in terms of digitalization in finance and dashboarding (e.g. KNIME, UiPath, Tableau) is a plus.
