As a Financial Accountant based in Singapore, you will oversee comprehensive financial operations for our regional subsidiaries, ensuring strict compliance with IRAS regulations and IFRS/SFRS standards. This role requires critical collaboration with cross-border teams in China, Mexico, and the US to optimize financial workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Reporting To: Finance Director, North America
Work Arrangement: On-site (Singapore office) with occasional regional travel
Key Responsibilities
- Tax, Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare and file Corporate Tax, GST, and cross-border tax returns in compliance with IRAS requirements.
- Resolve tax audits and implement tax optimization strategies for APAC entities.
- Ensure that the company remains compliant by adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Operations
- Manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and GL entries using Infor ERP systems.
- Streamline financial workflows across China-Singapore-Mexico-US transactions.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly/annual financial statements under SFRS.
- Coordinate internal/external audits and address findings promptly.
- Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with regional finance teams to align accounting practices and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Analyse cost structures and pricing models to support business growth.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or ACCA certification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in full-cycle accounting for Singapore entities, preferably in manufacturing/trade.
- In-depth knowledge of IRAS regulations, GST filings, and SFRS.
Technical Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in Infor ERP systems and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience handling cross-border tax scenarios (US/Mexico/Southeast Asia).
Soft Skills:
- Fluent bilingual skills in English and Mandarin.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to work across global time zones.
