Exposure in a finance business partner role supporting corporate related investment projects e.g. working on financial/ tax due diligence, financial modelling review, business plan reviews will be relevant.

Or experience gained with a Big 4 firm doing transaction advisory/ valuation modelling will be useful.

Hands-on experience reviewing financial models on DCF, impairment assessment etc is required.

Our client is an investment firm focusing on infrastructure projects across Asia. For this role, you are part of the portfolio Management team and report to the Head of Finance.

For this portfolio management finance manager role, you are part of the finance team and will work closely with the investment team and play a gatekeeping function on the following key areas:

Valuation

  1. Lead the fair valuation of portfolio projects based on relevant guidelines.
  2. Review the business assumption inputs used by the investment team in discounted cash flow (DCF) valuation models in accordance with valuation guidelines, including determining/updating the appropriate discount rate / WACC / risk premiums to be used for different sectors/countries.
  3. Provide support to Finance Managers in charge of subsidiaries and group accounts to provide necessary project fair valuation analysis and assessment on a quarterly basis or as and when required in preparing group consolidation, financial statements and annual filings for the firm and its subsidiaries.

Due Diligence

  1. Provide due diligence (DD) support to the Business Development team especially on Financial DD and Tax DD.
  2. Support the BD/investment team in the investment process by reviewing financial information available in both early-stage investments (e.g. financial analysis of partners’ balance sheet) or mid/late-stage investments with available deal data room to formulate a financial risk assessment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field from a reputable university.
  • 7 to 10 years of total experience including prior Big 4 transaction advisory/valuation experience.
  • Exposure in a finance business partner role supporting corporate related investment projects e.g. working on financial/ tax due diligence, financial modelling review, business plan reviews will be relevant. Or you are now in a Big 4 firm doing transaction advisory/ valuation modelling.
  • Experience reviewing financial models on DCF, valuation or impairment assessment etc is required (that said, do not require experience setting up financial models from scratch).
  • Regional exposure is also highly preferred.
  • Experience in the infrastructure sector, working with international development institutions and/or regional experience in Asia would be a plus but not a must.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment essential.
  • Has a stable CV (i.e. no active job hopping).
