Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the accounting team, providing guidance and support for professional growth.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing and statutory reporting, including the preparation and review of cashflow statements, accounting schedules, and bank reconciliation.
• Manage daily accounting operations of a portfolio of companies.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policy and procedures.
• Review intercompany reconciliation and ensure no discrepancies in month-end balances.
• Liaise with AR & AP Shared Services team on accounting issues for period closing, collections, and payments.
• Liaise with Group Finance, Treasury, and Internal auditors.
• Coordinate and manage statutory audit for the division, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaising with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance of financial records with corporate and statutory requirements.
• Handle tax matters which include quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.
• Work closely with management to provide financial insight and support decision making.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial processes and systems to improve efficiency.
• Support other departments with financial-related tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountancy with Professional accounting certification preferred.
• At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Prior external audit experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong team player and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions and regions.
• Strong business acumen, detail-oriented, and hands-on.
