Our client is seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join their team as a Finance Manager, OSEA. This position, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, OSEAHK, provides an exceptional opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of accounting, including financial and management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while closely supporting the Head of Finance. This role will have a regional focus on Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia, making it a pivotal position within the organisation.
We are looking for a motivated individual to take on a key role in supporting our clients finance operations across Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Annual Audit Oversight: Lead the annual audit process, ensuring all external auditors queries are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Tax & Compliance Coordination: Manage tax and transfer pricing inquiries from local authorities, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Corporate Tax Filing: Prepare checklists and consolidate documentation for our annual corporate tax filings, streamlining the process for efficiency.
- GST Filings: Review and verify monthly/quarterly GST submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws.
- Financial Planning Support: Actively support the Head of Finance in financial planning, yearly budgeting, and forecasting processes, while taking on additional duties as assigned.
- Corporate Secretarial Responsibilities: Oversee corporate secretarial tasks for operations in Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
- Month-End Closing Activities: Review and analyze comprehensive month-end activities, ensuring financial statements are prepared accurately in line with local compliance.
- Stock Count Organization: Organise and be involved in the annual stock count.
- Expense Monitoring: Generate quarterly expense reports (Travel, Marketing, Personnel) and advise stakeholders on expense management to prevent overspending.
- Vendor Collaboration: Provide accounting guidance to outsourced vendors for AP & AR activities, ensuring accurate postings to cost centers and general ledger lines.
- Bank and Insurance Partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with local banks to facilitate cash flow and collaborate with insurers on claims for damaged shipments and lost inventory.
- Audit Pack Preparation: Compile comprehensive audit packs for our headquarters.
- Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the Accounts Executive.
Experience and Requirements:- A tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting in a multinational organisation.
- Experience with statutory reporting in Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
- Experience in retail, FMCG or hospitality industries.
- Experience in managing outsourced vendors related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Strong background in forecasting and budgeting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
