Finance Manager (Operation)

Location: Tuas

Position Summary

This position is for PaxOcean Singapore Finance located at Tuas. The Finance Manager is to oversee and manage the financial aspects of the operational activities. He/She will need to be hands-on, able to work in a high-volume environment and comfortable in managing ambiguities and changes. He/She will need to have strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and risk to re-look at current processes and make changes.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations at Tuas, ensuring alignment with Company's objectives, policies and budgets.
• Ensure targeted daily sales outstanding is met.
• Perform credit risk analysis on customers.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures across operations.
• Lead initiatives to optimize financial processes, especially on AP and Payment.
• Manage SG group cashflow, ensuring enough liquidity to meet the operation needs while managing financial and interest risks.
• Oversee costing function to ensure accuracy in reports, delta costs are promptly cleared and analyze unusual CM.
• Partner with other departments to develop financial strategies that align with overall business goals.
• Identify financial risks associated with operational functions and mitigate them.
• Work with FPA and GL team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and banks.
• Other ad-hoc projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or its equivalent.
• Min 5 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 3 years in an operational finance role.
• Experience in leading a team of at least 5 staff.
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills preferred.
