Finance Manager, Ledger & Fixed Assets #SAP #NJH

The Manager, Finance (Ledger & Fixed Assets) is responsible for:

  1. Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the University's Shared Services Finance - Ledger and Fixed Assets team, ensuring adherence to the University's accounting policies and internal controls.
  2. Participating in monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss review with management.
  3. Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of capitalization of assets under construction (work-in-progress), asset acquisition, disposals, transfers, and depreciation postings.
  4. Reviewing Monthly/Quarterly/Year-end Financial closing reports, ensuring reports/schedules and adjustment entries are accurately and promptly prepared/posted.
  5. Reviewing and approving asset disposals via the Asset Management System (AMS).
  6. Ensuring year-end activities are promptly executed (e.g. foreign currency revaluation, Asset accounting year-end closing, financial year-end balance carry forward).
  7. Ensuring ledger and asset related ServiceNow requests and Case/Query management fulfilment meets Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  8. Liaising with Internal/external Auditors regarding audit queries.
  9. Supervising and coaching team members, to ensure all deliverables of the team are completed accurately and on time.
  10. Developing team members.
  11. Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge Articles are up-to-date and properly documented.
  12. Monitoring and managing KPIs and SLAs to ensure they are achieved with the highest level of customer service.
  13. Identifying automation and process streamlining opportunities and collaborating with relevant teams on system implementation, enhancement, and user acceptance testing.
  14. Participating in ad hoc projects based on business requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Degree with at least 8-10 years of related working experience.
  2. Experience in ERP financial system (e.g., SAP Hana is preferred).
  3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  5. Detail-oriented, meticulous with a positive attitude.
  6. Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, problem solver, ability to work independently.
  7. Good organisational and planning skills.
  8. A team player who works well with various stakeholders.
