Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with Groups policies and relevant laws/ regulations in respect of financial matters and contribute positively to the companies profitability and return on investment by exercising effective cost control measures and asset management.
2. Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate financial and management accounting functions.
3. Ensure that accounting for monthly / quarterly / yearly closing are completed on time and accurately.
4. Ensure compliance to accounting standards.
5. Review accounts reconciliations and schedules.
6. Review and approve payments and other banking applications.
7. Oversee annual audit and annual statutory accounts.
8. GST and tax computations and filing.
9. Continuously review internal control processes for effectiveness and relevance, and recommend improvements.
10. Ensure capital expenditure requests are within budget.
11. Provide advice, guidelines and instructions to shared services centre and review their performance according to Service Level Agreement.
12. Support Reporting team to formulate budget and forecasts.
13. Cashflow and foreign exchange management.
14. Review and co-ordinate insurance coverage of companies assets.
15. Collaborate with Digital Technology team user acceptance tests for new programs, automation to improve work processes, parameters and interface set-ups, etc.

Requirements

1. University degree or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA) in Accounting or equivalent.
2. At least 6-8 years of working experience in finance & accounting.
3. Audit and Automotive experience preferred.
4. Strong knowledge in areas of accounting, taxation, finance, commercial law.
5. Strong excel skills, business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Good management skills and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Working hours: 5 days work week, Location: Alexandra.
