The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for Finance Manager, to join our Finance team in Singapore.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, AMENA, the Finance Manager will play a leadership role to oversee the controlling function for Europe and Middle East regions, by leading and working closely with the in-country finance team in managing daily operations, internal controls, and other ad-hoc assignments. In supporting seamless finance operations for these regions, the Finance Manager will work closely with the operational teams, tax agents, auditors and local banks, ensuring finance activities are being executed efficiently and effectively while maintaining strong controls and adherence to accounting policies. The incumbent is expected to drive standardization, process optimization, and implementation of best practices.

Key accountabilities and performance indicators include:

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Ensure financial reporting integrity for monthly SAP closing, including trial balance, balance sheet, and profit & loss statements.
  • Oversee daily financial operations and month-end close activities, including but not limited to reviewing the Balance Sheet, P&L, journal adjustments, deferred revenue, and financial consolidation using reporting tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Prepare and finalize corporate financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal control and financial certification requirements.

Tax, Audit & Compliance
  • Lead and support yearly audits, annual/quarterly tax schedules, and assist in preparing the Year-End Tax Package for corporate tax compliance.
  • Engage with corporate and local tax advisors to address major tax matters and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors, legal advisors, company secretaries, tax agents, banks, and government authorities to ensure statutory compliance and reporting.
  • Support external government reporting and regulatory filings.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement
  • Ensure strong internal controls (controllership) are in place and continuously optimized.
  • Proactively improve financial processes and procedures to enhance reporting systems and automation.
  • Support transfer pricing activities and ensure compliance with global financial regulations.

Internal Stakeholders Partnership
  • Collaborate with the relevant teams to drive an efficient process and governance, aligning financial reporting with operational requirements.

People Management

Provide leadership, coaching, and training to strengthen the finance team's capabilities.

Others
  • Support ad hoc project and perform additional tasks as and when required


About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent and the following:
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in financial management and accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and, or Taxation related, with experience in a leadership, people management role.
  • Professional Accounting Qualifications such as CA/CPA/CIMA/IPA is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a big 4 accounting firm with strong technical skills will be desired
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/medical device industry a plus
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to balance business objectives and operational execution
  • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage priorities and work within deadlines.
  • Good understanding of corporate reporting and working knowledge of taxation and transfer pricing will be advantageous
  • Experience working with SAP system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
