We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of management experience in finance or accounting, with a strong background in cost accounting, financial reporting, and ERP systems. You will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, consolidating reports, ensuring compliance, and managing system implementations. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in liaising with international teams, particularly in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Reporting:
- Consolidate and review financial reports from various departments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare detailed expense breakdowns with accompanying commentaries for management review.
- Respond to HQ requests regarding expatriate billing, monthly expense queries, and revenue analysis.
Operational Reporting:
- Oversee the costing breakdown for the warehouse (GDC) and ensure accuracy.
- Review and verify wholesales invoices and check GTO reports.
- Perform payment checks to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor and report on actual cash flow versus forecasted cash flow.
- Conduct inventory costing checks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Verify AP invoices and ensure timely processing.
- Monitor and report on Finance & Store Development KPIs.
Periodic Responsibilities (Quarterly & Bi-Annual):
- Prepare and consolidate the quarterly report.
- Oversee quarterly closing provisions and tax, ensuring proper accounting treatment.
- Conduct checks on slow-moving inventory and report findings.
- Manage the bi-annual budget revision process and ensure accuracy in budget adjustments.
- Perform stock take adjustments based on inventory counts.
System Implementation & Management:
- Lead the implementation of a new accounting ERP system, ensuring alignment with company needs.
- Collaborate with the global finance team on system standardization and implementation across regions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage budget revisions once the approval process is complete.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of operational monthly reports (opening and closing).
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly management reports to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
・At least 2 years of management experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a foreign-owned or Japanese-listed company or its group.
・Experience in accounting audits, tax calculations, and GST/CIT filings preferred
・Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with general accounting, FP&A, and cost accounting preferred.
