Finance Manager

Position Objective

• Lead the Finance functions i.e. Account Receivables, Account Payables, accounting, taxation process and other key finance functions in a start-up school.

• Lead the Procurement functions.

• Prepare budget and forecast.

• Provide Financial Information and Analysis to Head office and Management by researching and analysing financial data.

• Provide support to the Finance Director AIS Finance, BCS Head of School, Cognita Finance Team.

Responsibilities

Accounting

• Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Maintaining proper recording of document transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions.

Finance Operation

• Oversee the daily operations of the Finance department.
• Provide operational support on payments, receipts, journals and report preparation.
• Perform self-assessment to ensure all internal controls and regulations relating to finance are adhered to.
• Manage bank relationships.
• Ad-hoc tasks in assisting other members of the finance team.

Pupil Forecast

• Responsible for analysing and generating the bi-weekly and monthly pupil forecast, working closely with admissions department and submitting reports to Management.
• Attend to queries and provide required information to the Regional office.
• Reconcile pupil numbers to data held by the admissions department and the billing system.

Business Planning & Commercial Finance

• Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly management reporting and forecasting.
• Responsible for facilitating, collating, updating and analysing the annual budget.
