Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) or ARC(S) is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to serving individuals on the autism spectrum throughout their lives. Based in Singapore, ARC(S) offers a range of services and resources tailored to meet the growing concerns and needs of the autism community.

As a key member of the Finance team, you will play an important role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements of Pathlight Schools. You will prepare financial and management reports and manage the annual statutory audit. In your role, you will liaise with auditors, assess audit observations, and follow through on implementation of recommendations as well as keep abreast of financial reporting standards, interpret, and implement changes to ensure compliance. In addition, you will develop and deliver analytics reporting and dashboards to provide focused insights on financial performance. As part of development and growth, you may be rotated to various Pathlight Schools.

As a Finance Manager, your impact & contribution includes:

  • Direct and manage the accounting function to ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial information and management reports.
  • Ensure timely monthly accounting close & consolidation including the overseeing and reviewing of work done by the finance team.
  • Timely preparation of the financial reports, submission of reports to funding agencies and statutory boards and quarterly filing of GST returns to IRAS.
  • Plan and manage the budget and/or forecast process.
  • Analyse and provide insights on the financial performance of the schools.
  • Ensure compliance to funding agreements, guidelines and circulars of funding agencies.
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors and oversee statutory financial year-end audit.
  • Liaise with banks and all external parties on finance and investment-related matters.
  • Review, improve and strengthen the internal controls and process improvement.
  • Undertake special assignments, ad hoc functions and related duties when required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
  • Chartered Accountant with 10-15 years of accounting experience
  • Good analysis, problem-solving and strong leadership skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different departments and locations
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on, resourceful and independent
  • IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft suite of products
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus
