Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join us. Reporting to Operations Director, and working closely with the finance and accounting teams in the Surbana Jurong Group, the role involves project financial tracking and analysis, management reporting and communicating effectively with key stakeholders to drive smooth operations.
Job Description
Overall
- Lead and co-ordinate the admin team in finance related operations matters, such as project set up, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase and sales orders, etc.
- Align and co-ordinate with management, operations, finance teams in the SJ Group.
- Responsible to oversee all aspects of the finance/ accounting functions, management reporting and project accounting for A+D.
- Improve and align Finance & Accounting, especially on project accounting.
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate monthly management reporting, coordinating with the team leads to track project financials.
- Act as business partner to project teams and proactively offer both support and finance/ accounting advice to team leads to ensure the best project outcomes.
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) & Management Reporting
- Review and prepare monthly management reporting.
- Assist and co-ordinate with management to produce effective and meaningful financial analysis.
- Lead management/financial reporting, business analysis, and budgetary control.
- Liaise with internal project managers and report to management directly on a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
Project Accounting
- Enhance and standardize the current project review and accounting practice.
- Interface regularly with Project manager/Director and project delivery teams.
- Support project pursuit teams in bid preparation as required.
- Handle project financial management for international and Singapore projects.
- Provide lessons learnt and refreshment trainings.
- Ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
Tax
- Coordinate with Business Line / Corporate Tax teams to give tax advices on projects and entities.
- Coordinate and manage external tax consultants.
Key Requirements
- Excellent project management, accounting and communication skills.
- Degree holder in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Qualified member of recognized Professional Accounting Qualifications, e.g. CPA, ACCA.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant global / regional FP&A / commercial experience in MNC environment (prior Big 4 experience highly regarded but not essential).
- Strong analytical mind with great commercial acumen.
- Advanced financial modelling skills, with the ability to handle and process large amount of data.
- Excellent communication skill in both English and other local languages (preferred but not essential).
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skill.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Extensive experience working with large ERP systems (preferred SAP) and BI tools.
- Resilient, proactive and self-motivated.
- Able to work collaboratively with people from different levels, functions and cultural background.
